Lorsqu'un terminal transmet des paquets de donn\u00e9es via une infrastructure publique, ces paquets sont vuln\u00e9rables \u00e0 une interception non autoris\u00e9e, \u00e0 une inspection approfondie des paquets (DPI) parrain\u00e9e par l'\u00c9tat, \u00e0 des attaques par injection et \u00e0 une analyse du trafic.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pour att\u00e9nuer ces vuln\u00e9rabilit\u00e9s structurelles, les ing\u00e9nieurs r\u00e9seaux d\u00e9ploient un tunnel VPN (r\u00e9seau priv\u00e9 virtuel). Plut\u00f4t que de repr\u00e9senter un itin\u00e9raire physique, un tunnel VPN est une connexion logique point \u00e0 point superpos\u00e9e sur la topographie de routage publique. Il utilise une encapsulation cryptographique avanc\u00e9e pour construire un chemin de donn\u00e9es isol\u00e9 et s\u00e9curis\u00e9 \u00e0 travers des r\u00e9seaux \u00e9tendus publics non s\u00e9curis\u00e9s (WANs).<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Les deux moteurs du tunneling : encapsulation vs. chiffrement<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Une id\u00e9e fausse courante est que le tunneling et le chiffrement sont la m\u00eame chose. En r\u00e9alit\u00e9 architecturale, un tunnel VPN s\u00e9curis\u00e9 est le r\u00e9sultat de deux op\u00e9rations distinctes de la couche r\u00e9seau fonctionnant en tandem.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<div Encapsulation (Le m\u00e9canisme de routage)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">L'encapsulation est le processus d'imbriquer un paquet de donn\u00e9es natif dans un tout nouveau paquet de transport. Le paquet original \u2014 avec sa charge utile interne, ses en-t\u00eates de couche de transport (TCP\/UDP) et ses adresses IP source\/destination d'origine \u2014 est trait\u00e9 comme des donn\u00e9es brutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le protocole de tunneling attache un en-t\u00eate r\u00e9seau externe \u00e0 ce paquet. Cet en-t\u00eate externe indique l'IP publique actuelle du client&#8217;s comme source et la passerelle VPN distante comme destination. Cela permet aux routeurs publics interm\u00e9diaires de d\u00e9placer le paquet via les tables de routage standard sans jamais d\u00e9couvrir quel type de trafic est cach\u00e9 \u00e0 l'int\u00e9rieur.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">2. Chiffrement (La couche de s\u00e9curit\u00e9)<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Sans chiffrement, l'encapsulation n'est qu'une astuce de routage administrative (comme les tunnels GRE h\u00e9rit\u00e9s ou les tunnels L2TP autonomes). Pour s\u00e9curiser les donn\u00e9es, un chiffrement cryptographique sym\u00e9trique \u2014 le plus souvent AES-256-GCM ou ChaCha20-Poly1305 \u2014 est int\u00e9gr\u00e9 dans la pile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Le moteur de chiffrement brouille l'int\u00e9gralit\u00e9 du paquet interne d'origine. M\u00eame si un adversaire intercepte le paquet en transit, il ne peut pas voir les m\u00e9tadonn\u00e9es, les domaines web cibles, ni les charges utiles brutes de l'application. Les donn\u00e9es ressemblent \u00e0 un bruit al\u00e9atoire \u00e0 haute entropie.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h2 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Flux de paquets d\u00e9taill\u00e9 : Le cycle de vie d'un paquet tunnelis\u00e9<\/h2>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Pour observer comment les donn\u00e9es traversent une passerelle VPN, consid\u00e9rez le cycle de vie \u00e9tape par \u00e9tape d'une seule requ\u00eate HTTP sortante initi\u00e9e \u00e0 partir d'un appareil utilisateur :<\/p>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Phase 1: Interception locale et crypto-traitement<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>\u00c9tape 1 :<\/strong> Le syst\u00e8me d'exploitation de l'utilisateur g\u00e9n\u00e8re un paquet IP destin\u00e9 \u00e0 une ressource web externe.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>\u00c9tape 2 :<\/strong> Le pilote de la carte r\u00e9seau virtuelle (interface TAP\/TUN) s'accroche \u00e0 la table de routage du syst\u00e8me d'exploitation et intercepte le paquet sortant avant qu'il n'atteigne la carte d'interface r\u00e9seau physique (NIC).<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>\u00c9tape 3 :<\/strong> L'application cliente VPN ex\u00e9cute une poign\u00e9e de main d'\u00e9change de cl\u00e9s (par exemple via IKEv2 ou Curve25519) pour \u00e9tablir des cl\u00e9s de session \u00e9ph\u00e9m\u00e8res. Elle chiffre ensuite le paquet IP interne et ajoute des balises d'authentification pour garantir l'int\u00e9grit\u00e9 des donn\u00e9es.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Phase 2: WAN Transit<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>\u00c9tape 4 :<\/strong> La carte r\u00e9seau physique transmet le paquet UDP\/TCP nouvellement encapsul\u00e9.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>\u00c9tape 5:<\/strong> Les routeurs Internet publics lisent <em>seulement<\/em> l'en-t\u00eate IP externe. Le paquet saute \u00e0 travers plusieurs syst\u00e8mes autonomes (ASN) jusqu'\u00e0 ce qu'il atterrisse sur l'interface externe du serveur VPN r\u00e9seau cible (VNS).<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n\n\n\n<h3 class=\"wp-block-heading\">Phase 3 : D\u00e9capsulation de la passerelle et sortie<\/h3>\n\n\n\n<ul class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>\u00c9tape 6 :<\/strong> La passerelle VPN fait correspondre l&#8217;indice de param\u00e8tre de s\u00e9curit\u00e9 (SPI) du paquet, v\u00e9rifie sa signature cryptographique, et d\u00e9chiffre la charge utile en texte clair.<\/li>\n\n\n\n<li><strong>\u00c9tape 7:<\/strong> La passerelle supprime les en-t\u00eates de tunneling externes.
